A 35mm Day in Chicago & Olympus XA

Chicago, May 2015

Chicago is a street photographer’s haven and has given me a number of photographic opportunities during another recent trip. I’m still wading through them all.

These 7 images were taken with one of the smallest rangefinder film cameras ever made, a 1979 Olympus XA, which I just purchased in February. I’ve shot with an XA1 for several years now. It’s been my fall back, all-around, smallest street photography camera.  I still prefer the XA1 for brilliance and clarity, but both cameras are to me, the ultimate convenient film camera for street photography.
