Young Harris, Georgia

Not street photography, but a needed exercise in 35mm
Once a year, I try to visit Crane Creek Vineyards, a small, quaint location that sits high in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia, just three miles north of the college town of Young Harris. On the drive up toward Brasstown Bald, the state’s highest peak, you can catch road cyclists in training. This vineyard is less than two hours from Atlanta and always a pleasure to visit.
For this visit, I wanted to hone in on finding both my compositional style and personal preference in shooting with 35mm. Film photography is a demanding, highly unforgiving craft that continually challenges me and humbles me. I haven’t quite put into words what style I’m trying to grow into, but I am working harder on it and welcome your feedback to help me grow further.
