The Mediterranean cultures use a lot of diverse kinds of nuts in their recipes, from whole nuts to pastes and sauces with ground nuts as part of the mix. When it comes to breakfast, I wanted a healthier option that would keep me from getting hungry sooner. Adding nuts seemed like a great way to do that.
For this recipe, simmer the oats in water, 1/2 tbsp of butter for about 20 minutes. Then top with 1/2 tbsp of soy milk. Add blueberries and almonds.
