Authentic Lebanese Hummus

Another favorite staple of mine and it’s so healthy and fast to prepare.


Just take a can of chick peas, dump it in a food processor removing most of the canned juices and leaving aside for later. Add the juice of 2 lemons, 1-1/2 tbsp of Tahini paste, 2 small-medium cloves of garlic, a pinch of cumin, 4 tbps of EVOO and a pinch of salt. Pulse until creamy. If it’s getting dry, add the canned liquid reserve in small amounts or add more EVOO. It should be fairly creamy.

The key is eat with pita wedges, not chips or crackers! The taste is so much more enhanced with pita!
